Blackboard is a digital learning experience connecting educators and learners.

The project was how to make the instructor's page more easy to use and visually appealing.

The Problem

The previous version of the instructors preview was not very clear at a glance. It took practice to learn how it works than being intuitive. The icons were not that obvious and used everywhere. The colours in the icons did not have a purpose.

Overview

The instructors can manage, communicate with students and grade the courses in one place.

Pain Points

Too many layers of pages to do simple tasks.

Lots of data in one place making it difficult to visually make a difference between topics.

New Features

Redesigning the tabs on the top of the page. Bringing out more features and functionalities on the first page than being hidden under layers.

Goal

To make a big impact how the instructors can see the course progress in one glance.
