Blackboard is a digital learning experience connecting educators and learners.

The project was how to make the students have access to the different courses digitally. They can also submit their assignments and get graded in one place.

Website

The Problem

The student preview page was very text heavy with no visual story. There was no clear separation between different topics and progress of the assignments. It can get confusing for the user on how they are doing in their course.

Overview

The students can follow the topics closely, submit assignments and get graded.

Pain points

Too much data cluttered in one place and no visual hierarchy which is very difficult to break down in different sections.

New Features

New chips, notifications and progress bar introduced to help the students know which topics are finished and graded and which are still in progress.

Goal

How to make the courses as interactive as possible and make it easy for the user to see the bigger picture.
